Girl Scouts, clubs, schools, and church groups receive special rates for play with clay, wheel throwing and paint pottery activities!
Have Your Ceramics Party at Your Location
We provide help from expert ceramicist and all materials. (Delivery of fired pieces included) When extra assistance is needed, we would be happy to provide additional TCS staff per employee or your staff may assist. We require one staff member for every five children.
Times: Tuesday thru Friday. A minimum of 12 children is required.

Beginner’s Hand-Building Class
The Ceramics Studio staff leads the children in a fun, yet educationally enriching class in the art of hand-building ceramics. We can suggest various projects that can be completed in about an hour.
For Girl Scouts: Brownies earn their ceramics badge by creating a pinch/coil pot.
Beginner’s Wheel Throwing Workshop
The art of creating pots on the potter’ wheel is rich with historical reference and a satisfying craft to perfect! This workshop guarantees that each participant will successfully create a pot of their own.
For Girl Scouts: For Girl Scouts: Juniors and up earn their art badge with this activity!
Little Potters Story Time & Clay Creation
The Ceramics Studio provides a combo clay class for Little Potters, ages 3-6. Our expert ceramist reads a story to the children, followed by a guided Play with Clay session where each child creates a character from the story. The session lasts about 45 minutes.
Handprints in Clay
Memorialize the children’s precious little hand and/or footprint in wet clay. Parents and grandparents will cherish them forever! The session lasts less than 45 minutes.
|After Your Play with Clay Event Has Concluded:|
The clay artworks are dried, fired in our kiln and are ready paint within two weeks. The participants may return to the studio (as a group or individually) to paint their pottery as they choose using our large selection of colorful glazes, free of charge!*
*If your group is unable to return to paint their ceramic creations, we will dip glaze it for the kids in a color of their choice.
Pottery Painting Event
Participants choose from our huge assortment of fun and functional ceramic bisque. (see below for samples) They are then guided in how to paint colorful glazes onto the surface. This event lasts one hour. Seasonal and “special” topics are also available!
For Girl Scouts: This event is ideal for Daisies, but guaranteed to be fun for all levels.
Memorialize the children’s hand and/or footprint in glaze on pre-made ceramic ware. Capture those precious hands and feet while they are still tiny!
Ceramics Tile Painting Group Project
Each participant paints a tile for the group project. Tiles can be proudly displayed on school walls or other locations where many people can appreciate them for years to come!
Makes for a Great Fundraising Project!
The hand-made clay tiles (see mission bell tile tray to left) were done by our staff and painted by the children at the school. The beautiful tray was then auctioned off at their fundraising event!
|After Your Paint Pottery Event Has Concluded:|
The ceramic pieces are dipped in clear glaze, fired in our kiln and are ready for pick-up or delivery within two weeks.
